For the first time in Cyclovia Tucson’s five-year history, organizers are welcoming Tucson’s gorgeous fall weather with a Cyclovia open streets event. What better way to kick off the best weather of the year and get out biking, walking, dancing, rolling, skating or strumming in the outdoors?
Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 2 for the next Cyclovia Tucson event. This first-ever Fall event features a new 2.6-mile route that will transform Tucson city streets into play space for everyone from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All ages and abilities are invited to grab their favorite non-motorized form of transportation and explore connections to popular destinations like Fourth Avenue, the University of Arizona, Downtown, the Pima County Loop, the Tucson Modern Streetcar, bike boulevards, city parks, local businesses and more.
More than 20,000 people from diverse communities came out for the Cyclovia in April. In one day it was possible to ride your bike or walk to watch Ballet Folklórico dances, listen to hip-hop DJs, dig into a plate of enchiladas from a local restaurant, dance at the Tucson Hullabaloo folk music festival and just enjoy watching thousands of people play in their city.
“My family and I, we have been to every single Cyclovia since it started—including the year it poured down rain!” says Monica Valencia, a Zumba fitness instructor in Tucson. “We love it so much. It’s the perfect event for the entire family.”
Be a part of history and join the first-ever Fall Cyclovia Tucson. You’ll be glad you did!
