For almost 30 years, the Greater Arizona Bicycling Association (GABA) has been hosting its twice-yearly bike swap in spring and fall with hundreds of vendors and thousands of people shopping for everything bike.
This year’s fall Bike Swap will be held at the first-ever fall Cyclovia on Sunday, November 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Swap will anchor the south end of the Cyclovia extravaganza.
“We get sellers and buyers from throughout the Western states and Northern Mexico,” shares Greg Yares of GABA. “It is the largest, best-attended bicycle swap meet in Arizona.”
Sellers range from bike shops and manufacturers selling new merchandise all the way to professional cyclists and individuals who want to clean out their garage. People can also bring their bikes or small parts and walk around the venue to trade into a new bike or sell their old one. “Everything bicycle related is sold at the GABA swap, in fact that is the basic rule of what is welcome there—it must be bicycle related,” shares Yares.
Find more swap details at the GABA website or call Greg Yares at 520-323-9020 or Todd D’Addario at 646-785-7432. And visit the Cyclovia Tucson website for this fall’s event map as well as a full list of fun activities along the route.
The spring Bike Swap is set for Sunday, April 12, 2015.
