If you’ve decided to join in on the fun and ride in Pedal the Plains there is still time to sign up! Online registrations are now closed but you can still walk-on Friday, September 18th. Please click HERE for more information on how to do that. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Pedal the Plains here are the details.
Pedal the Plains is a celebration and exploration of the Eastern plains of Colorado. Every state has an area that doesn’t get as many opportunities to shine as the bigger city centers. The Eastern Plains is that area in Colorado. As you ride in one of the three race options (3 day, Family ride, or the Century) you’ll get to explore the three host cities of Julesburg, Holyoke, and Sterling.
Learn about the industries specific to this part of Colorado, meet fantastic people, and enjoy a some great riding. The Pedal the Plains website also provides information on nutrition, what to expect as a rider, logistical considerations, and more. Part of the fun of knowing how to ride a bike is the opportunity to ride with a group of people who are just as excited to ride around the country (or your town) with you!
If you don’t feel like riding but still would like to participate consider becoming a volunteer. Spaces are filling up quickly! Go to the following link for more information. They have also begun to look for volunteers for the 2016 event.
Pedal the Plains is guaranteed to be a phenomenal time!
