BikeLife Tucson 13 t Tucson Hop Shop When Jessie and David Zugerman moved back to Tucson Jessies home town from Oregon they decided to start a business. Both home brewers they turned their passion and interest for craft beer into the newly opened Tucson Hop Shop. Located in the Metal Arts Village in Tucsonand less than a half mile from The Loopthe Tucson Hop Shop is a fun place to try great craft beers from around the world along with local-roasted coffee and snacks. We wanted to create a fun community beer garden where people can either bike or drive to and just relax and chill says Jessie. Cyclists in particular tend to like their bikes their coffee and their beer. Visit tucsonhop- to learn more. Bike Valet Service Are you organizing a commu- nity event that you want to make bike-friendly Most venues dont have enough bike parking requir- ing attendees to lock their bikes to trees posts or racks far away from the venue. But many events like Tucson Meet Yourself and Viva La Local Food Festival now offer bike valet parking in a secure monitored area. Living Streets Alliance offers full-service mobile bike valet parking that can accommodate up to 70 bikes and its free to event attend- ees If youre interested in bike valet for your event contact bikevalet or call 520- 261-8777. Volunteer with VeloVets The light bulb went off for Guiliana Donnelly an avid cyclist and occasional bike racer when she met a coach at a cycling camp who was also a tandem captain for a blind rider. VeloVets was born. An all-volunteer 501c3 VeloVets helps get military veterans with disabil- itiesfrom blindness to amputees to partial paralysis and PTSDon tandem bikes. When youre on a tandem you just have to follow says Guiliana. Exercise is so good for so many things both physically and mentally and its a great way to help veterans who are dealing with different challenges. The rides meet weekly at the SouthWest Blind Rehab Center at the VA Hospital. Interested to learn more and volunteer Visit Jessie and David Zugerman founders of the new Tucson Hop Shop.
